SAIC VOLKSWAGEN AUTOMOTIVE CO., LTD. (SAIC VOLKSWAGEN for short) is a Sino-German joint venture founded by SAIC Motor and Volkswagen Group in October 1984. The company is one of the earliest automobile joint ventures in China. Headquartered in Anting Shanghai, SAIC VOLKSWAGEN has built up production bases in Nanjing, Yizheng, Urumqi, Ningbo and Changsha in succession. Up till now, the company has established a production layout consisting 6 major production bases, 2 power train plants, 1 battery plant, 1 tech center, with a cumulative production volume and sales volume of over 25 million units and around 3 thousand employees.

SAIC VOLKSWAGEN covers different market segments such as A0, A, B, C, SUV and MPV with more than 30 models under VW, AUDI and SKODA. VW brand includes Polo, Santana, Lavida, Lamando, Passat, PHIDEON, Tiguan family, Teramont family, Tharu, T-Cross, Touran, Viloran, ID.4 X, ID.6 X,ID.3. Skoda brand includes RAPID family, OCTAVIA, SUPERB, KODIAQ family, KAROQ, KAMIQ family. In addition, SAIC Audi will launch 4 new models in the next three years. And the first batch of SAIC Audi products—the All new Audi A7L, the SUVe Audi Q5 e-tron and the large-size SUV Audi Q6 has launched in 2022.

Also, SAIC VOLKSWAGEN continues to explore the NEV market. The company has launched a series of NEVs such as Tiguan L PHEV, Passat PHEV, Lavida BEV and Tharu BEV.
