Xiamen Airlines was founded in 1984 with its headquarters seated in Xiamen City of Fujian Province on the southeastern coast of China. It was China’s first airline company operating under the modern enterprise system. Chinese President Xi Jinping personally participate in its establishment and highly praised the company as the “epitome of China’s aviation industry development.”

At present, Xiamen Airlines operates a fleet of over 200 aircrafts flying nearly 400 routes covering Asia, Europe, North America, and Oceania. Xiamen Airlines has been profitable for 35 consecutive years and has been voted the best service airline in mainland China by passengers for 30 consecutive quarters. Moreover, it is the only airline that has won the highest national award, "China Quality Award".

Xiamen Airlines always honor its social responsibility and take active steps to implement Chinese solutions to build a Community with a Shared Future for Mankind in promoting global sustainable development. In February 2017, we signed an agreement with the United Nations, hence becoming the first airline in the world to support United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
