Hohhot Futai Thermal Power Co. , Ltd. is a municipal utility. It was built in 1983 and put into operation in 1987. The company has more than 1700 employees, currently the actual heating area of 22.65 million square meters, involving four urban areas, mainly to the west of Hulun Road mainly. There are three heating modes: cogeneration, coal-fired and gas-fired, of which the cogeneration heating area is about 11 million square meters, the coal-fired heating area is about 8.57 million square meters, and the gas-fired heating area is about 3.08 million square meters.
