African countries will actively participate in the Comprehensive Country Exhibition at the 7th China International Import Expo, which is scheduled to take place from Nov 5 to 10 in Shanghai, to promote their comprehensive image, cultural tourism, investment environment and cooperation with China.
All the participating countries from Africa are members of the African Union. In particular, Tanzania, Tunisia and Zambia will be key components of events themed on the Year of Bilateral Diplomatic Relations at the CIIE, as this year marks the 60th anniversary of China establishing diplomatic relations with them.

Officials from the African Union, the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa, high-ranking officials from various African countries and African ambassadors to China will attend related events at this year's CIIE.

As a platform showcasing high-quality agricultural products from Africa for exporting to China, this year's Comprehensive Country Exhibition will feature products covered by bilateral agreements signed with China at the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation. The products include premium peanuts from Nigeria and pure natural honey from Rwanda.
Additionally, Burundi will present pure Arabica coffee beans grown at high altitudes, which will be freshly ground and brewed on-site for free tastings by visitors. Madagascar will promote its abundant fisheries resources through brochures and on-site explanations to facilitate the entry of aquatic products into the Chinese market.

A diverse range of cultural exchange performances will also be featured at this year's Comprehensive Country Exhibition. For example, the Rwandan Youth Group with over 7 million followers on Chinese social media will perform Chinese songs, while Tunisian dance performers specially visiting China will put on traditional local song and dance performances.
Furthermore, the first-ever exchange and interaction activities among exhibition organizing agencies will be held, further enhancing mutual understanding and people-to-people communications among participating countries, including those from Africa.
