In preparations for internal use, the properties of panthenol are used to regenerate the mucous membranes in the throat and mouth during and after respiratory infections, aphthae or minor injuries, and the moisturizing effect of panthenol on the mucous membranes is also used, i.e. moistening and protecting the mucous membranes and supporting their natural nutrition.
