Coconut sugar syrup is made from the sap of the coconut palm tree 100%. It looks similar to honey and has a strong caramel taste. Coconut sugar undergoes little processing so, as with other unrefined sugars or other syrups, it retains some of the natural vitamins, minerals, fibre and antioxidants. Coconut sugar is classified as a low glycemic. It can be used sugar substitute for coffee, tea, baking, and cooking. Or, consuming directly to desserts.
