Itinerary

DAY 1 Arrival-shanghai

Welcome to Shanghai! Your personal guide will meet and escort you to your hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to relax and recover from jet lag.

DAY 2 Shanghai

Meet your guide at the appointed time, and then start the city exploration from the Bund and the Former French Concession. Walking on the exotic streets, you may have a glimpse of what the 1920s' Shanghai is like. After that, proceed to a representative of Chinese classical garden-Yu Garden, then visit the bustling Yuyuan Market and a silk workshop, where you can learn how the white cocoons turn into colorful silk. Next, get to the top of the Shanghai World Financial Center in Pudong New Area to enjoy a bird's-eye view of the city.

DAY 3 Shanghai-Hangzhou

After breakfast, take a high-speed train to Hangzhou. Upon arrival, your local guide and driver will pick you up, and then escort you to visit the graceful West Lake (a relaxing boat ride is included), followed by the serene Lingyin Temple and Feilai Peak.

DAY 4 Hangzhou-Huangshan

Spend an invigorating morning at the Longjing Tea Plantation, where you may learn to pick tea leaves and see how it's processed, while tasting a cup of the famous Longjing Tea and listening to its history. Later on, have a short stay at the Museum of Hu Qing Yu Tang Traditional Chinese Medicine Drugstore and Hangzhou Workmanship Demonstration Pavilion, in which you may try to paint on a circular fan.

DAY 5 Huangshan-Mt. Huangshan

After breakfast, drive about 1.5 hours to Huangshan Scenic Area. Take a cable car at Yungu Station to the mountaintop. After check-in and lunch, you will visit the Brush Pen Peak, Lion Peak and Xihai Grand Canyon in succession, and enjoy the sunset at the Cloud Dispelling Pavilion, etc.

DAY 6 Huangshan-Shanghai

Get up early to catch the magical sunrise before you get back to the hotel for breakfast. Then, move to the Begin-to-Believe Peak to appreciate the grotesque pine trees. Take the cable car down and drive one hour to Hongcun-an ancient village that looks like a Chinese ink and wash painting.

Late in the afternoon, take a 3-hour high-speed train back to Shanghai, and get to the hotel accompanied by your guide.

DAY 7 Shanghai-Departure

Grasp the last chance to do some shopping, or just relax in the hotel. Then your guide and driver will take you to the airport and see you off until you pass the security check.
