I. Who are the buyers of the sixth CIIE?

A: Buyers generally refer to industry-related traders, scientific researchers, government management personnel, the personnel of intermediary organizations, etc. The buyers of the sixth CIIE are industry insiders from enterprises, government organs, public institutions, social organizations, etc. corresponding to the industry setting of the exhibition area of the sixth CIIE.

Buyers are primarily organized into groups, and these groups are classified into those for trade missions from all provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities, independently planned cities and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps (regional trade missions), Central Enterprise Trade Mission, trade mission of the National Health Commission of the PRC, as well as industrial trade missions of representative organizations in various industries.

II. How can a buyer join a trade mission?

A: The trade missions of the sixth CIIE primarily include trade missions from all provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities, independently planned cities and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps (regional trade missions), Central Enterprise Trade Mission, trade mission of the National Health Commission of the PRC, as well as industrial trade missions of representative organizations in various industries.

Buyers associated with central enterprises choose to join the Central Enterprise Trade Mission and corresponding sub-missions at the time of registration based on their subordinate relationship and shall be subject to the management of corresponding sub-missions. Institutions under the management of the National Health Commission of the PRC choose to join the trade mission of the National Health Commission as required at the time of registration.

Other buyers choose to join the trade missions or trade sub-missions at the time of registration based on the principle of residence management and shall be subject to the management of trade missions. The secretariats of regional trade missions are generally located at the provincial departments in charge of commerce. Units of an industrial trade mission shall fill in the “referral code” before joining the trade mission, and shall select the corresponding trade mission (sub-mission) according to the place of registration or their affiliations. The units joining the industrial trade mission are reviewed and managed by the trade mission, and the statistics shall be incorporated into the corresponding local trade mission, Central Enterprise Trade Mission, or the trade mission of the National Health Commission of the PRC.

III. How can a buyer sign up to visit the sixth CIIE?

A: Please sign up online: visit the official website of the CIIE (www.ciie.org), select “Business Exhibition”, “Buyer”, “Registration”, or Official WeChat mini-program and APP of China International Import Expo, select “Main”, “Buyer Registration”, to sign up for the CIIE.

After registration, you can log in through the official website of China International Import Expo, select “Business Exhibition”, “Buyer”, “Sign In” column or WeChat mini-program or APP of China International Import Expo, select “Me”, “Institutional Users”, and “Visitors” to view and modify the filled information, as well as check the progress of relevant procedures such as certificate review and making.

All buyers shall register online in advance, as on-site regular registration for the sixth CIIE will not be allowed.

IV. Are buyers eligible to visit the exhibition after registration?

A: After buyers fill in their affiliations and personnel information as required, an affiliation and personnel information review and fees payment shall commence, after which certificate-making and issuing shall occur if all of the preceding procedures pass. After obtaining their certificates, buyers can visit the exhibition and carry out negotiations in accordance with relevant stipulations.

V. After buyers’ registration submission, what else needs to be done?

A: After buyers’ registration submission, the trade mission shall review unit information. The unit shall receive a payment notice, and then it can log in to the system to pay for persons with the status of “unpaid”. If the status is updated to “to be reviewed”, it indicates a successful payment. After the successful payment, please wait for the notification on the personnel review result.

VI. When is the deadline for buyer registration?

A: The deadline for buyer registration at the sixth CIIE is 12 midnight, September 30, 2023, Beijing time. The deadline for online payment via QR code scanning and B2B payment gateway is 12 midnight, October 15, 2023, Beijing time, and the deadline for payment via transfer and the upload of the payment voucher is 12 midnight, October 12, 2023, Beijing time. Please register and pay relevant fees at the official website of the CIIE before the deadline.

VII. How can the personnel holding buyer certificates for the fourth or fifth CIIE re-validate certificates?

A: The personnel who holds the certificate for buyers at the fifth CIIE and passes the personal information review can apply for revalidation of the certificate online if the information on the certificate remains unchanged (including name, affiliation, trade mission or trade sub-mission, personnel label, photo, and date of entrance).

For relevant types of certificates that still meet the reuse conditions applied for the fourth CIIE, they will be reissued at a preferential rate for the reuse of old certificates in registration for this CIIE.

Buyers who meet the requirements for certificate re-validation can click “registered buyer of the previous CIIE” when signing up on the official website, and the system will automatically pop up the affiliation information. Buyers should follow steps to complete personal information, select “registered buyer of the previous CIIE” and click “certificate re-validation”, then wait for the trade mission to review affiliation information. After passing the review, buyers need to pay the fees following the system prompt. Please make sure that the certificate to be re-validated is not lost or damaged.

VIII. How can admission certificates be obtained?

A: Buyers joining trade missions can choose the way to receive certificates, including express delivery (limited to Chinese mainland) and collecting and distributing by trade missions. Express delivery is recommended, and no express fee is required. If the express delivery is chosen, please fill in the valid address within 6 months. After the certificates are sent, buyers can enter the official website of the CIIE and click the “Business Exhibition”, “Buyer” and “Sign In” columns in sequence to view the relevant express information. For overseas buyers who choose to receive certificates on site, the system will inform them of matters pertaining to obtaining certificates by email.

IX. How do buyers inquire about the progress after registration?

A: After buyers submit their registration information online, related progress notifications will be sent via text message (applicable to domestic buyers) or to the buyers’ registered e-mail addresses (applicable to domestic and overseas buyers). Buyers can also enter the official website of the CIIE and click the “Business Exhibition”, “Buyer” and “Sign In” columns in sequence to view the progress of their registration.

X. If a buyer has paid for a certificate but cannot participate in the expo, can the certificate be refunded? Or, can someone else be admitted?

A: After payment, personnel information review procedures will commence. If personnel reviews fail, buyers can enter the official website of the CIIE and click the “Business Exhibition”, “Buyer” and “Sign In” columns in sequence to process a refund according to the text message or e-mail. If the personnel reviews pass, the certificate-making process will automatically commence, after which no refunds or replacements can be processed.

XI: How do buyers obtain payment invoices after paying the fees for certificates?

After payment, you can log in through “Business Exhibition" - "Buyer" - "Log in" on CIIE official website, and apply for invoice based on the prompts. You may apply for regular value-added tax invoice (Electronic regular invoice) or value-added tax special invoice (Electronic special Invoice). If an invoice was issued before some unverified people requiring refund, the invoice shall be returned, the payment refunded, and another invoice reapplied for.

XII. How can buyers pay for their certificates?

A: There are three payment methods for the buyer certificate for the sixth CIIE, namely, payment by scanning the QR code, B2B payment gateway, and payment through transfer.

(1) Payment by scanning the QR code includes UnionPay, WeChat, Alipay, etc.;

(2) For B2B payment gateway, namely, the business-to-business payment gateway, the affiliation must open relevant services in advance;

(3) For payment through transfer: the affiliation must upload relevant documents such as bank remittance vouchers as required and complete the payment process after review and confirmation.

Payment by scanning the QR code and B2B payment gateway are recommended.

XIII. Is there a deadline for buyers’ payment?

A: The deadline for payment by scanning the QR code and B2B payment gateway is 12 midnight, October 15, 2023, Beijing time, and the deadline for the payment via transfer and the upload of the payment voucher is 12 midnight, October 12, 2023, Beijing time. Please timely complete the payment after receipt of the payment notification.

XIV. How can individuals register?

A: Individuals can register through the buyer registration channel. Please fill in the information of the affiliation, as well as the personal information. For details, please see “Question III”. Individual buyers in the industrial trade mission can register by filling in the referral code in the “Main” and “Buyer Registration” columns on the official APP or WeChat mini-program of the CIIE.
