During the event, Kokusai Electric (KE) Corp, a Japanese semiconductor manufacturing equipment producer, signed up to participate in the seventh CIIE, marking the company's debut as an exhibitor at the expo.

Sun Chenghai, deputy director-general of the CIIE Bureau, said that the IC subsection at the sixth CIIE covered 7,000 square meters, bringing together upstream, midstream, and downstream enterprises from the industry.

An increasing number of high-quality products, services, and concepts from the IC industry have entered the Chinese market through the CIIE, he said, adding that the expo has served as a platform for China to share development opportunities with the world. 

Zhang Suxin, president of the Shanghai Integrated Circuit Industry Association (SICA), also noted that the sixth CIIE's IC subsection witnessed high enthusiasm of exhibitors. Nearly 30 companies from over 10 countries, including many leading enterprises, showcased their latest products and technologies.

The CIIE Bureau reached further cooperation intentions with SICA.
