President of Liaoning University, Yu Miaojie, and President of Shanghai University of International Business and Economics (SUIBE), Wang Rongming, have confirmed participation in the 6th Hongqiao International Economic Forum. They will attend the parallel sessions themed "Driving Green Investment and Trade to Jointly Build Global Eco-Civilization" and "The Global Trading System at a Crossroads: More Integration or More Fragmentation".

Professor Yu Miaojie is currently serving as the Deputy Secretary of the CPC Committee and President of Liaoning University. He is a Distinguished Professor of the Changjiang Scholars Program appointed by the Ministry of Education, a winner of National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, an Outstanding Young Scientist of Beijing, and a Distinguished Professor of Boya Program at Peking University. He is the Chief Expert of a major projects funded by the National Social Science Foundation and a recipient of the NG Teng Fong/ Sino Scholarship for Outstanding Youth. He is among the top 1% of highly cited economists in the field of management globally. He has been invited to the United Nations headquarters to deliver reports on China's economic development. His award-winning academic paper has been recognized as one of the three most influential papers on the study of China's economy in the leading global journal in economics, Economic Journal, since its establishment in 1891.

Wang Rongming is now President of Shanghai University of International Business and Economics (SUIBE). He is also a Doctor of Science, Professor and Doctoral Supervisor. He served successively as a member of the 7th and 8th Discipline Review Group (Statistics) of the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council, vice chairman of the Chinese Association for Applied Statistics, vice-chairperson of Steering Committee for Guidance in Teaching in Higher Education Institutions (Statistics), vice chairman of China Association of International Trade, a member of the Academic Committee of the Key Laboratory of Ministry of Education of Peking University and East China Normal University. He is also the chief expert of Wang Rongming's Studio, a decision-making and consulting research base under the Shanghai Municipal People's Government.
