As the China International Import Expo in Shanghai provides global companies with the opportunity for equal dialogue and fair trade, more and more foreign premium goods are hitching a ride on the fast track of development through the CIIE, sharing in the mutually beneficial outcomes of open cooperation.

Goodfarmer Foods Holding (Group) Co Ltd, a leading distributor of fruits, vegetables, meat and branded foods in China, is one of the beneficiaries of the CIIE.

The company has participated in all editions of the expo and will attend the sixth and seventh CIIE.

"The CIIE is the only comprehensive exhibition we choose to participate in," said Xu Ke, market director for China of Goodfarmer.

"CIIE serves as a platform for China to build a new development pattern and promote high-level opening-up. It is also an international public good," Xu said.

According to Xu, the company has gained abundant harvest though the CIIE. The New Zealand Avanza avocado showcased at the fourth CIIE quickly spread across retail stores in China, with sales in the Chinese market increasing by 1.5 times.

"The introduction of professional financial services helps the company further optimize the cross-border trade ecosystem, strengthen the global procurement, sales and service network and facilitate the import of high-quality fruits and vegetables from around the world to China, as well as the export of premium Chinese fruits and vegetables to the world," Xu said.
