CIIE Story • Voices of Exhibits| German brand Teka to unveil modern kitchen at 6th CIIE Release date: 2023-10-20 Source:China International Import Expo Bureau
At the upcoming sixth China International Import Expo in Shanghai, visitors will have the opportunity to witness the unveiling of a modernized kitchen by renowned German brand Teka.
The brand, with a century-old history, will showcase its cutting-edge kitchen appliances alongside a contemporary kitchen setting.
Bill Weng, president of Teka Greater China, expressed his excitement for the upcoming event by saying, "We will present a fully electrified kitchen at the CIIE."
In alignment with China's strategy regarding carbon peak and carbon neutrality, an all-electric kitchen represents a feasible path for the development of the kitchen appliance industry in China, while also addressing the growing demand for a low-carbon and healthy lifestyle among consumers.
Recognizing the urgency of promoting all-electric kitchens in the Chinese market, Weng expressed the hope that through the CIIE, more consumers will become aware of Teka's brand.
This year marks Teka's second participation in the CIIE. Weng said he feels more confident compared to the previous experience. As a devoted follower of the expo, Weng has been preparing for Teka's involvement since assuming his position in 2021. "The CIIE provides brands with a chance to gain recognition and showcase their products," he said.
Weng said that his role extends beyond simply selling advanced imported products to the Chinese market. He also acknowledges the importance of telling authentic and promising stories about China to the global board of directors at Teka.
By embracing the role of a cross-cultural communicator, Weng said that he aims to highlight Chinese economy's resilience and potential, especially in the years following the pandemic.
Looking towards the future, Weng hopes that sharing the China story through platforms like the CIIE will inspire more overseas brand managers in China to leverage their unique strengths to bring China's narrative to the global market. "Let us tell the world the remarkable tale of China," he said.
