MEBO Group exec: CIIE a great platform to show new offerings Release date: 2020-11-06    Source:chinadaily.com.cn

The China International Import Expo is a great platform for companies from the world to demonstrate their newest products and services, thanks to China's effective control of COVID-19 and its rising presence in the international innovation arena, according to Xu Peng, president of MEBO Group, a health company that has headquarters both in China and the United States.

MEBO International, the US company of MEBO Group, attended the ongoing China International Import Expo (CIIE) for the third time as a typical representative of regenerative medical technology.

"Because of the pandemic, most events we used to attend regularly over the years have had to be held online this year, and CIIE is an exception," Xu said.

"The successful holding of the event is a boost to international confidence over the battle against the pandemic, as it shows life will return to normal once the pandemic is controlled."

CIIE provides an international platform for companies to demonstrate their products and services that can enhance people's welfare and livelihood, Xu said, adding many have brought their latest innovations to CIIE because they are aware that as an increasingly important international expo, CIIE is able to showcase their innovations to the world.

CIIE has also demonstrated China's commitment to opening-up and multinationalism, which can bring about new growth impetus to the slowing world economy under the influence of the pandemic, he said.

The company's exhibited items on the expo include its major dietary supplement for blood sugar balance Glymate, skincare product Miage, and GI Regenerate gastrointestinal capsule, a healthcare product popular in the United States and on Amazon.

It also is exhibiting some typical Chinese patented drugs to be introduced to the world.

The company's products are also available on cross-border e-commerce platforms including Shopify and AliExpress.

Based on ancient TCM prescriptions, and using raw materials selected worldwide, the company produces TCM products with a unique process and patent in an American good manufacturing practice, or GMP, factory, which helps promote TCM around the world and facilitate the internationalization of TCM, Xu said.

The company will ink an agreement Friday at CIIE with the Bay Area Council to jointly build a platform to bolster economic and cultural activities between people of the bay area and China.

The platform will serve as a bridge to promote US companies' products and services to Chinese buyers, while also introducing Chinese culture to those who will do business with China.
