Despite the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the year-on-year sales of Richemont Group on the Chinese mainland surged in 2020, according to the company's financial report.

"In recent years, with the economic development of China and the rising income of its consumers, the Chinese market has boosted Richemont Group markedly," said Jenny Gu, CEO for Richemont China.

"Although hit by the pandemic, it can be seen that the Chinese economy and consumption market remain resilient," Gu added.
