Merck, a leading science and technology company, has explored the potential of the Chinese market through the China International Import Expo and is bullish about its prospects in the country.

The CIIE is a platform that facilitates communication and cooperation between parties with shared interests, said Merck China President Allan Gabor, noting that many significant partners of the company have also attended the expo.

In November 2020, Merck exhibited its products at a subsection for public health and epidemic prevention, which was set up at the third edition of the expo for the first time.

The fact that the CIIE took place successfully despite the effect of the coronavirus pandemic sent a strong message to the world and brought hope to global economic recovery, said Gabor.

The management practices of the CIIE are very thorough and showcase the country's high-quality development and remarkable resilience, which is of great importance to the world, he added.

Merck has been in the Chinese market for 88 years and will continue to strengthen its foothold in China, said Gabor.
