President of the Republic of Honduras Iris Xiomara Castro Sarmiento said the country will grasp the opportunity provided by the China International Import Expo to promote its high-quality products in China, when meeting with Chen Jining, Party secretary of Shanghai, on June 9.

Castro arrived in Shanghai and started her six-day China visit that day. She said she was impressed by the hospitality of Chinese people and the prosperity and development of China.

The Honduran president expressed her hope that the two countries will strengthen exchanges and cooperation in trade and culture.

Chen said that Shanghai will work to enhance cooperation with Honduras in fields like trade, culture, and tourism, while promoting cultural and people-to-people exchanges between China and Honduras as well. 

He welcomed Honduran enterprises to participate in the sixth China International Import Expo and bring more high-quality products to the Chinese market through the expo.
