Matchmaking event for 7th CIIE held in Xinjiang Release date: 2024-08-01    Source:China International Import Expo Bureau

A pre-expo supply-demand matchmaking meeting for the 7th China International Import Expo (CIIE) was held in Urumqi, Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region on July 30.

Over 20 exhibitors from the CIIE's Intelligent Industry and Information Technology, Food and Agricultural Products, and Consumer Goods Exhibition Areas participated in the event, along with more than 200 buyers from Xinjiang.

Noting the preparations for the 7th CIIE, Wu Zhengping, deputy director-general of the CIIE Bureau, said that the recruitment of exhibitors is mostly completed, adding that the focus for this year's expo has shifted to buyer recruitment and exhibition organization.

The CIIE work team also provided information on registration procedures for professional visitors and participant services. Promotion was also conducted at the event for the Exhibition Areas of Intelligent Industry and Information Technology, Food and Agricultural Products, and Consumer Goods.

At the meeting, the Yema Group from the Xinjiang trade mission signed a memorandum of cooperation with the CIIE Bureau to become a key buyer at the expo.

Additionally, exhibitors from the CIIE's Intelligent Industry and Information Technology Exhibition Area held a symposium on the technology equipment industry with relevant departments of Xinjiang during the event.
