Exhibitors of the China International Import Expo are committed to leveraging their strengths in different industries and increasing their presence in the Chinese market.

At an online meeting on May 18, representatives of the 15 special committees of the CIIE Enterprise Alliance, including Nestle, Pfizer, Omron, Ford, Estee Lauder, Nike, Cargill, Roche and Tapestry, said they will encourage more partners to participate in this year's CIIE in November and showcase innovative products, technologies and services despite potential challenges.

They also had discussions on future work plans and matters related to amplifying the spillover effect of the CIIE and deepening involvement in the Chinese market.

Sun Chenghai, deputy director-general of the CIIE Bureau, said at the meeting that he hopes exhibitors can make the best of the expo to strengthen connections with partners across the country and help with regional development while achieving their own growth.

To date, more than 70 percent of the planned exhibition space of the fifth CIIE has been reserved, according to Sun. More than 240 Fortune Global 500 companies and industry leaders, as well as most of the world's top 10 companies in the pharmaceutical, medical equipment and automobile industries have confirmed their participation in the expo.
