My CIIE Story | Participants keen to share CIIE experiences Release date: 2022-06-23    Source:China International Import Expo Bureau

The "My CIIE Story" activity, launched by the China International Import Expo Bureau and the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) on June 1, has been warmly received by exhibitors, purchasers and partners.

Heraeus, a German technology group that focuses on sectors including semiconductor, environmental protection and industrial application, is among those avid participants. The Fortune Global 500 company will attend this year's CIIE for the fifth consecutive time.

Chen Libin, director of communications and manager of CIIE-related affairs at Heraeus China, has encouraged his colleagues and other exhibitors to take part in the "My CIIE Story" activity. Chen set up a chat group comprising 20-30 exhibitors from the intelligent industry and information technology exhibition area when he first attended the expo in 2018 and the group currently has now more than 100 members from the medical equipment and healthcare products, automobile, consumer goods and other exhibition areas.

Many people in the group have shown great interest in the activity and most of their companies have also signed up for the fifth CIIE this year as they are looking forward to seizing huge opportunities brought by the trade fair, said Chen.

The last four editions of the CIIE had proved to be fruitful for Heraeus as the company managed to deepen cooperation with clients and governments and raise their brand profile in China. The company's booths were visited by over 10,000 people during the four expos, and this had in part contributed to its implementation of projects worth $200 million in China this year.

Like Heraeus, composite product manufacturer HRC, which will again attend the CIIE this year, has also been encouraging its employees to share their stories. "We hope the stories can draw more visitors to the expo to experience new products," said Chen Wenjin, marketing director at HRC.

Participating in the "My CIIE Story" activity can also attract more purchasers, said Chen Tong, marketing director at the Shanghai International Sourcing Promotion Center (ISPC). The ISPC became a CIIE partner to help attract professional buyers in 2019 and has since extended invitations to more than 300 companies and over 1,000 people.

Anyone who would like to participate in the "My CIIE Story" activity can send their written stories to ciiestories@ciie.org and videos to ciiestories2@ciie.org.
