An online roadshow to attract purchasers to the aquatic product exhibition of the fifth China International Import Expo was held on June 29.

More than 100 purchasers in the industry watched presentations about the aquatic product section at the expo's food and agricultural products exhibition area, and learned how to sign up for the fifth CIIE. An analysis report on China's aquatic product imports during the post-pandemic era was also presented during the roadshow.

Representatives from five exhibitors (or exhibitor organizers) – CP Group, Hijos de Carlos Albo, Aker BioMarine, Arctica Food Group Canada Inc and the Norwegian Seafood Council – spoke with 30 purchasers during a matchmaking session after the roadshow. To facilitate their cooperation, event organizers had released information about several exhibitors and their products before the events.

Ma Fengmin, financial director of the CIIE Bureau, said in addition to purchaser groups led by local Chinese governments, trade missions focusing on different industries will be set up this year. The bureau will also work with industrial organizations, platforms and media to invite more purchasers.
