High-end tech, equipment exhibitors meet with purchasers for cooperation Release date: 2022-08-10 Source:China International Import Expo Bureau
A matchmaking session for exhibitors of information technology and intelligent equipment at the fifth China International Import Expo was held at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) on Aug 8.

More than 30 exhibitors, including Nachi, Canon, Johnson Controls, Asahi Kasei, ThyssenKrupp, Amada, and Sumitomo Electric, attended the event and interacted with more than 60 China's State-owned enterprises and industry leaders such as Sinopec, State Grid, BYD Auto, and Nio.
The information technology and intelligent equipment exhibition focuses on low-carbon development, digital transformation, and high-tech industries, including integrated circuit and artificial intelligence. It will feature sections related to digital printing, optical technology, metal cutting, measurement, and spare parts, and include an innovation incubation subsection this year.

Over 30 companies signed agreements to participate in the fifth or sixth edition of the CIIE during the event, showing their confidence in the Chinese market.

Sun Chenghai, deputy director-general of the CIIE Bureau, said preparations for the fifth expo are progressing smoothly and about 90 percent of business exhibition area has been booked. He added that the expo will continue to help exhibitors connect with purchasers.
Wang Yunjian, general manager of mass market at Texas Instruments China, said the CIIE is a great platform for companies to display new products and technologies as well as enter the Chinese market. Texas Instruments had clinched deals with many clients during the past editions, he added.
The CIIE has also played an important role in helping companies upgrade their businesses and conduct international cooperation, said Gu Weiwei, a senior executive from the Shanghai branch of China National Offshore Oil Corporation. CNOOC, a member of the Central SOE trade mission, will bring in more high-end equipment and seek more cooperation via the CIIE, Gu added.
