Editor's Note: The fifth China International Import Expo is near. The "My CIIE Story" activity, which was launched on June 1, has drawn a great deal of attention and many people have shared their experiences related to the expo. A series of works themed on "grand strategy" and "big market" were published in July and August. In September, more stories with the theme "prominent platform", which showcase how the CIIE turns exhibits into commodities and exhibitors into investors, will be released.

The task to select and display artworks at the main venue of the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) for the China International Import Expo, including traditional Chinese paintings, sculptures, oil paintings and contemporary ink and wash paintings, is a highlight and an unforgettable moment of my life.

I was appointed the chief curator of the main venue in 2018. In less than half a year, my team and I work in coordination to successfully complete the selection and display of more than 100 pieces of artwork at the main venue.

Artwork display is the soul of a convention space. I am all too aware that a good space atmosphere can help to create a trusted diplomatic relationship, shape the image of a country and inspire in-depth discussions about culture among different countries.
