A promotional conference for the testing, inspection, and certification (TIC) industry, which will be featured in the trade in services exhibition area of the sixth China International Import Expo, was held in the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) on April 20. 

Liu Fuxue, deputy director-general of the CIIE Bureau, said during the conference that the TIC industry has been a major component of the trade in services exhibition area of the annual CIIE.

The participation of numerous leading TIC companies in the past five expos has introduced many new products, technologies, and services to the Chinese market, and helped expand the professional service categories in the CIIE, Liu said. 

He also welcomed more enterprises in the TIC industry to participate in the CIIE.

Xu Min, executive director of TIC Council China, said at the conference that the council will continue to serve as a communication platform to encourage its members to participate in the CIIE. 

She noted that during the second CIIE, the TIC Council was invited by the Lujiazui Administration Bureau to set up a representative office in China. 

During the conference, representatives from exhibitors like TÜV Austria, SGS and Cotecna shared their experience of participating in the CIIE, and notable achievements and opportunities they gained from the expo. 

In addition, attendees engaged in discussions about green low-carbon development and digital innovation in the TIC industry, as well as the participation models of the CIIE.

The trade in services exhibition area of this year’s expo will feature sections such as financial services, consulting services, commercial platforms, shipping and logistics, and cultural tourism.
