The roadshow of the 6th China International Import Expo arrived in Shanghai's Jinshan district on Sept 12.

Exhibitors from the medical equipment and healthcare products and intelligent industry and information technology exhibition areas, including Alcon, Air Natural Capacity Solution GmbH, Hexagon, and Asahi Kasei, attended the event.

About 100 local buyers attended the event to engage with the exhibitors.

Shi Huangjun, deputy Party secretary of the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai), the venue for the CIIE, said that he welcomes more companies from Jinshan district to join the CIIE and seize the opportunities brought by China's high-level opening-up.

The 6th CIIE, which will be held from Nov 5 to 10, has drawn more Fortune Global 500 companies and industrial leaders this year compared to the last edition, said Shi. More than 360,000 square meters of exhibition area has been booked for this year's expo, according to Shi.

Shi also noted that the roadshows targeting buyers are taking place across China and that the CIIE organizers will further optimize the structure of professional visitors and continue to work on connecting buyers and exhibitors by leveraging digital technologies.
