CIIE continues introducing exhibitors to investment opportunities across China Release date： 2024-04-02 Source：China International Import Expo Bureau
The China International Import Expo in Chongqing, an investment promotion event, is taking place from April 1 to 3. It is the first event of its kind to be held in 2024 and the sixth in a series of CIIE investment promotion events following those held in Sichuan, Liaoning, Jiangxi, Jilin, and Yunnan provinces.
The event is expected to provide an opportunity for more CIIE exhibitors and investment promotion agencies to gain a deeper understanding of Chongqing's business environment, development advantages, and investment prospects, as well as its local culture and heritage.
Chongqing's unique culture has been a highlight at the CIIE. At the second edition of the expo, the city showcased its renowned hotpot brand Dezhuang. A pot measuring 10 meters in diameter was set up, earning it the title of "world's largest hotpot".

During the fourth CIIE, Chongqing set up a pavilion to showcase its comprehensive image, allowing visitors to virtually explore landmarks such as the People's Liberation Monument and the Chongqing Grand Theatre.

As the starting point of the first China-Europe Railway Express freight train, Chongqing has expanded its industrial, economic and trade development globally through the CIIE.
Over the past six years, the Chongqing trade mission has mobilized thousands of companies and buyers to participate in the annual CIIE, achieving deals on key sectors such as meat products, agricultural products, and medical equipment. Moreover, the mission participated in various CIIE activities, including matchmaking events, investment promotions, research releases, and product displays.
Through investment promotion events held in different provinces and cities, the CIIE has been able to build a platform for exhibitors to connect with local industries, and for regions to attract foreign investment and stabilize foreign trade. In addition, unique local business environments and advantages have offered foreign investors more opportunities.
For example, the Jilin event in 2023, invited about 160 CIIE exhibitors and investment promotion agencies involved in automobiles, equipment manufacturing, medical and healthcare, and food, with many companies finding opportunities for collaboration.
