A promotional event for the seventh China International Import Expo was held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates on April 18.

More than 150 representatives from local government, business associations, as well as Chinese and UAE enterprises attended the event.

Highlighting the resilience, potential, and vitality of the Chinese economy reflected by the success of previous editions of the CIIE, Ou Boqian, Chinese consul general in Dubai, welcomed all sectors in the UAE to participate in the seventh CIIE and bring more goods and services to China.

Noting that economic and trade relations between the UAE and China have maintained strong momentum and are increasingly flourishing, Abdulla Al Saleh, undersecretary of the Foreign Trade and Industry at the UAE Ministry of Economy, appreciated that the CIIE serves as a global economic and trade event that provides an extensive platform for cooperation and exchange between the two nations.

As a regular participant in the CIIE for six consecutive years, the UAE has gained popularity among Chinese consumers with products like date palms and camel milk powder, according to Ning Feng, president of the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai), the CIIE venue.

During the promotional event, the CIIE Bureau and the Chinese Business Council in UAE signed a memorandum of cooperation.

The CIIE working team visited the Chinese Consulate General in Dubai and the Emirates Industry for Camel Milk & Products, the largest camel farming facility in the UAE. These visits aimed to encourage more UAE enterprises to participate in this year's expo, further strengthening bilateral trade and cooperation between China and the UAE.
