A pre-exhibition supply-demand matchmaking session of the seventh China International Import Expo was held in Changchun, Northeast China's Jilin province, on April 30.

During the event, the overall preparations for this year's expo, registration procedure for buyers, and related services were introduced. Emphasis was placed on introducing the food and agricultural products and automobile exhibition areas.

Over 30 exhibitors from the food and agricultural products and automobile exhibition areas of the expo, such as Nestle, Fonterra and Webasto, attended the event.

More than 150 buyers, including Jilin Changchun Haoyue Halal Meat and Changchun Ou Ya Group, engaged in discussions and established preliminary business contacts with attending exhibitors.

Addressing the attendees, Sun Chenghai, deputy director-general of the CIIE Bureau, said he hopes Jilin enterprises make good use of the CIIE to engage in economic and trade cooperation.

According to Sun, the booked exhibition space for the seventh CIIE has exceeded 270,000 square meters.

Following this event, the CIIE Bureau will organize various forms of supply-demand matchmaking events tailored to industries in different regions and the business development needs of exhibitors. These events will cover all six exhibition areas of the CIIE, providing platforms for exhibitors and buyers to find more trade and cooperation opportunities.
