7th CIIE to unlock sports market potential Release date: 2024-05-08 Source:China International Import Expo Bureau
A promotional event for the sporting and outdoor goods section of the seventh China International Import Expo took place at the SUS National Science and Technology Park on April 26.
The event was attended by representatives from 50 enterprises specializing in the sports industry, including Nike, Skechers, and Lululemon.
Addressing the attendees, Ge Hong, chief financial officer of the CIIE Bureau, emphasized the expo's role in expanding opening-up, enhancing supply and boosting consumption.
Ge said that the seventh CIIE would unlock more potential in the sports consumption market. According to him, enterprises such as Lululemon, Skechers and Puma have signed up for this year's sporting and outdoor goods section.
Xu Qi, deputy head of the Shanghai Administration of Sports, highlighted the increasing participation of sports industry professionals in the CIIE and the strengthening influence of the sports industry at the expo.
Noting the significance of sports consumption in Shanghai's goal of becoming an international consumption hub, Xu pledged the administration's support for the sporting and outdoor goods section of the seventh CIIE.
As a representative of the CIIE exhibitors, Lin Shaoan, an executive with Johnson Health Tech, said that the company has leveraged the CIIE to foster collaborations with both new and existing partners.
He expressed a desire to welcome more newcomers at this year's expo and collaborate with them to further the development of the fitness equipment industry.
