A roadshow to recruit buyers for the seventh China International Import Expo (CIIE) was held in Lishui, Zhejiang province, on June 27.

Twenty CIIE exhibitors from the medical equipment and healthcare products exhibition area, including Merck, AstraZeneca and Bayer, as well as nearly 100 buyers from Zhejiang, attended the roadshow.

While addressing the attendees, Wu Zhengping, deputy director-general of the CIIE Bureau, said he welcomes Zhejiang businesses to actively participate in the seventh CIIE and utilize this national-level opening-up platform to seize more development opportunities.

According to Wu, over 1,000 enterprises from more than 70 countries and regions have signed up for this year's expo, with their booked exhibition space exceeding 325,000 square meters.

During the roadshow, Zhebei New Retail Technology (Zhejiang) Ltd and Zhejiang Agriculture Development Group (ZJAD Group) signed memorandums of cooperation with the CIIE Bureau to become key buyers.

Additionally, exhibitors from the medical equipment and healthcare product exhibition area held discussions with relevant government departments during the roadshow.
