Overview of China International Import Expo

In May 2017, Chinese President Xi Jinping announced at the Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation that China will hold China International Import Expo (CIIE) starting from 2018.

To hold CIIE is a significant move for the Chinese government to push forward a new round of high-level opening-up, and an important measure to actively open the Chinese market to the world. Chinese economy now has shifted to the stage of high-quality development from the stage of rapid growth, and the demand for high quality and featured commodities and services is becoming increasingly strong. Hosting CIIE is to create an open platform for international cooperation where all countries may present their national image and conduct cooperation in international trade through opening up and sharing Chinese market. This not only helps satisfy the demand of Chinese people for a better life, but also promotes all countries to develop trade and open up the market, further advance economic globalization and an open world economy so as to build a community of shared future for mankind.


1.Time and Venue

Reply: The first CIIE will be held at National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) from 5 to 10, November 2018, address: No. 333, Songze Avenue, Qingpu District, Shanghai, PRC.

2.Hosts, Supporters and Organizers

Reply: The CIIE will be jointly hosted by The Ministry of Commerce of PRC and the Shanghai Municipal People’s Government, supported by such international organizations as WTO, UNCTAD and UNIDO and organized by CIIE Bureau and National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) Co., Ltd.

3.Scale of CIIE

Reply: The total exhibition area is over 240,000 ㎡, including the Country Pavilion for Trade and Investment (30,000 ㎡) and Enterprise and Business Exhibition (210,000 ㎡). The first “Hongqiao International Trade Forum” will also be hosted and the supporting activities such as supply-demand matchmaking meetings, seminars and product releases will be held during the Expo. Professional purchasers from over 100 countries and regions are expected to participate in the first CIIE.

4.About the Country Pavilion for Trade and Investment

Reply: The Area is about 30,000 ㎡. The relevant countries and regions will be invited to participate in CIIE to showcase their development achievements of trade and investment, including trades in goods and services, industries, investment and tourism, as well as representative products of the country or region with distinct features. It is exclusively reserved for country exhibitions, not for business transactions. During the first CIIE, Chinese government will provide the raw space free of charge for all countries joining the Country Pavilion for Trade and Investment and necessary aid and support for developing countries, especially the least developed countries.

5.About the Enterprise and Business Exhibition

Reply:  The Area consists of two sections: trades in goods and services. The section of trade in goods includes 6 exhibition areas: High-end Intelligent Equipment; Consumer Electronics & Appliances; Automobile; Apparel, Accessories & Consumer Goods; Food & Agricultural Products; Medical Equipment & Medical Care Products. The section of trade in services comprises 7 exhibition areas: Emerging technology, Service Outsourcing, Creative Design, Culture & Education, Tourism service, Logistics service and Comprehensive service.

6.Highlights of CIIE

Reply: 1. China is a huge market where the consumption and import grow rapidly. With the world’s largest population, China is the second largest economy, as well as the second largest importer and consumer in the world. Now China has entered a new development stage at which consumption keeps increasing, indicating enormous potential for the growth of consumption and import. In the next five years, China is expected to import products and services valuing more than 10 trillion U.S. dollars, which provides a historic opportunity for enterprises across the world to enter the huge Chinese market. 2. As a trade center of China, Shanghai boasts an ideal location. Located in the Yangtze River Delta Economic Zone, Shanghai enjoys favorable location advantage, great economic strength, well-developed service industries and the ability to allocate global resources. The container throughput of Shanghai Port has been ranking the first place for seven consecutive years. The passenger throughput of airport exceeds 100 million, with flight network covering 282 cities around the world. 3. The large exhibition is equipped with diversified and targeted supporting activities. Enterprises from over 100 countries and regions are expected to participate in the first CIIE. Supporting activities such as supply-demand matchmaking meetings, seminars and product releases will be held during the Expo. 4. Multiple measures will guarantee all-round and effective service. The CIIE will facilitate participation in terms of customs clearance, inspection and quarantine, provide long-term one-stop transaction services online and offline, and strengthen protection of intellectual property rights to safeguard the rights and interests of merchants. 5. There is strong purchase demand and a large number of professional purchasers. The CIIE will invite Chinese enterprises from across country to come to do business in the unit of province, autonomous region and municipality directly under the central government. Merchants from numerous countries will also be invited to the Expo.

7.Overview of the venue

Reply: The National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) is located in the core area of Shanghai Hongqiao Business District, 1.5 km away from Hongqiao Transportation Hub. It is linked to Hongqiao Airport and Hongqiao Railway Station via highways and the city’s metro line. NECC (Shanghai) is the world’s largest single block building and exhibition complex with a total construction area of nearly 1.5 million ㎡. Facilities at NECC (Shanghai) include exhibition halls, the commercial plaza, office buildings and a hotel. It has a total area of 500,000 ㎡, including 400,000 ㎡ indoor exhibition hall and 100,000 ㎡ outdoor area, with fully-equipped conference rooms surround the exhibition halls.

8.Main exhibitions held at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) in recent years:

Reply: About 100 world-class exhibitions, including Meeting of the BRICS Trade Ministers, have been held in the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) since 2015. Nearly 70 exhibitions were held in 2017 with an exhibition area of about 4.7 million ㎡ and about 4.3 million merchants from all over the world were received throughout the year. These exhibitions mainly include Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition, China International Industry Fair, THIS(the Health Industry Summit), China International Trade fair for Apparel Fabrics and Accessories, China International Fashion Fair, Shanghai International Fashion Parenting Industry Fair, China (Shanghai) International Furniture Fair, Shanghai International Auto Parts Exhibition, etc.

1. What is the full name of the forum?

A: The full name of the forum is Hongqiao International Economic Forum or Hongqiao Forum.

2. What is the background and purpose of the forum?

A: The Hongqiao International Economic Forum is held on November 5 at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai). At the first forum, Chinese President Xi Jinping delivered a keynote speech entitled “Work Together for an Open Global Economy That is Innovative and Inclusive.”

Following the new trend of global economic development, the forum focuses on the new challenges of global economic development and highlights open, innovation-oriented, inclusive, balanced and win-win development. It provides a high-end dialogue platform for governments, the business community and academia worldwide to tackle risks and challenges, pursue cooperation and development, offer advice and suggestions, seek the way forward for the world economy, put forward the “Hongqiao wisdom” and “Hongqiao proposals”, promote the sustained and healthy economic development, create a better business environment for enterprises, and bring more benefits to the people.

3. Who are the sponsors, organizers and cooperative units of the forum?

A: The forum is sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China and the People’s Government of Shanghai Municipality, and organized by China International Import Expo Bureau and the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai). The cooperative units are the World Trade Organization, the United Nations Development Programme, the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development, Food and Agriculture Organization, United Nations Industrial Development Organization, and International Trade Centre.

4. What is the overview of the Third Hongqiao International Economic Forum?

A: The 3rd Hongqiao International Economic Forum was held at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) on November 4, 2020. President Xi Jinping delivered a keynote video speech. Han Zheng, Vice Premier of the State Council, Hu Chunhua, Vice Premier of the State Council; and Li Qiang, Secretary of the Shanghai Municipal Committee of the CPC, attended the conference in Shanghai in person. Leaders of relevant countries and heads of international organizations attended the opening ceremony online or in person.

Business Exhibition

1.Brief Introduction

The Fourth China International Import Expo is scheduled to be held during November 5-10, 2021. As an important component, the Business Exhibition will retain the previous six exhibition areas, including Trade in Services, Automobile, Intelligent Industry & Information Technology, Consumer Goods, Medical Equipment & Healthcare Products, and Food and Agricultural Products. The preliminary planning is as follows:

1)  Food and Agricultural Products Exhibition Area

Under the theme of greenness and health, the exhibition area Food and Agricultural Products is committed to attracting more exhibitors and exhibits. This exhibition area was of great popularity in previous sessions. The fourth CIIE will make every effort to recruit new exhibitors from various countries who did not participate in the previous sessions, by which this expo nicknamed "A Bite of CIIE" can truly serve as a platform for gathering featured exhibits from all over the world.

2)Automobiles Exhibition Area

The fourth CIIE will exert greater efforts in recruiting exhibitors for smart mobility and new energy sections. In the previous session, the Automobile Exhibition Area, launching the "smart mobility" section for the first time, furthered its recruitment for exhibitors engaged in smart mobility scenarios and upstream and downstream enterprises along the industrial chain of new energy vehicles (NEVs). Moreover, the concepts of automobile culture and automobile racing will debut in this exhibition area, which is expected to better interpret the relationships between automobiles and environmental protection, intelligence, culture, and future life.

3)  Intelligent Industry & Information Technology Exhibition Area

The Intelligent Industry & Information Technology Exhibition Area will establish two new special exhibition zones—"Special Exhibition Zone for Digital Industrial Transformation" and "Special Exhibition Zone for Electronic Integrated Circuits". Oriented toward the three highlights, including "new energy, new infrastructure, and intelligent manufacturing", the exhibition area will supplement the "Special Exhibition Zone for Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection", the only one established on the third CIIE, with the aforementioned two new zones. In addition, the Special Exhibition Zone for Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection will set up a comprehensive scene experience pavilion which focuses on water purification, air purification, thermal energy, and comprehensive energy conservation and environmental protection, to display state-of-the-art environmental protection concepts to domestic consumers.

4)Consumer Goods Exhibition Area

The Consumer Goods Exhibition Area will explore deeply into national reputed brands of various countries to boost "good consumption". Compared with what was designed at the third CIIE, the Consumer Goods Exhibition Area at the fourth CIIE will subdivide the consumer goods to tap the further potential of consumption in China and restore the consumption. For example, the Special Exhibition Zone for Sports will double its exhibition area to display exhibits related to "great sports", add the enterprises engaged in the whole industry chain, and introduce the content related to science and technology sports. Besides, a Special Exhibition Zone for Video Entertainment will be built where "pan-entertainment" scenes will be created to attract the exhibitors of games, audio, and musical instruments.


        5)Medical Equipment & Health Care Products

The Medical Equipment & Health Care Products Exhibition Area will further explore medical segments and establish an innovation incubation zone. In the context of the ongoing COVID-19, the technology and products in the field of public health see a continuous increase in demand. The Special Exhibition Zone for Public Health was set up at the third CIIE for the first time. At the fourth CIIE, the Special Zone will be expanded to highlight the phased achievements of vaccine research and production next year, covering the central display of vaccine products and upstream and downstream industrial chains, intensified display of products and technologies for remote diagnosis and treatment in fever clinic in mobile cabin hospitals under 5G technology, as well as mobile and rapid testing equipment and technology.

6)Trade in Services Exhibition Area

The Trade in Services Exhibition Area will focus on enriching the whole industry chain empowered by "trade in services plus". Aiming at big data, cloud services, and new infrastructure, the exhibition area will meet the needs of the latest application scenarios, enrich the connotation of "trade in services plus", and take well-targeted steps in the whole industry chain empowered by intelligent services. For example, by dint of the historical pilot opportunities of "Shanghai-London Stock Connect" in Shanghai, the exhibition area will enrich the category of exhibits by further recruiting non-bank financial enterprises in insurance brokerage, securities, asset management, and private equity that are encouraged by the state to open and have not yet participated in the CIIE.

2. Which companies are qualified for the CIIE?

Legal and valid incorporated enterprises registered outside the customs areas of the People's Republic of China (hereinafter referred to as overseas, including Hong Kong SAR, Macao SAR, and Taiwan, China) can apply for participation in the CIIE.

3. The way for exhibitors to register for the fourth CIIE

The Business Exhibition at the fourth CIIE officially opens for registration from September 28, 2020. Enterprises (institutions) that register for the CIIE for the first time can register accounts on the CIIE official website by submitting the information of the enterprise (institution) and registration information. If your registration information passes the review, our staff will contact you.

Enterprises (institutions) that have registered for the third CIIE can log on to the existing account to submit registration information for the fourth CIIE, or contact our staff directly to register.

Here is a reminder: only legal and valid incorporated enterprises registered outside the customs areas of the People's Republic of China (hereinafter referred to as overseas, including Hong Kong SAR, Macao SAR, and Taiwan, China) can register for the Business Exhibition at the fourth CIIE, and only products produced overseas or service products provided from overseas can be exhibited at the Business Exhibition.

4. How long will exhibitors get the reply for the successful reservation?

After the exhibitors have successfully registered through the official website, the staff will contact you via email or telephone as soon as possible.

5. Is there anyone to contact about relevant matters after the successful registration for the fourth CIIE?

After the successful registration, the staff from the corresponding exhibition areas at the CIIE will contact you.

6. Can small foreign-invested enterprises register? (Is there any requirements for the enterprise scale)

Legal and valid incorporated enterprises registered outside the customs areas of the people's Republic of China (hereinafter referred to as overseas, including Hong Kong SAR, Macao SAR, and Taiwan, China) can register for the Business Exhibition at the fourth CIIE.

7. Does the CIIE provide any relevant progress information for exhibitors' preliminary preparatory work?

The CIIE will provide the Exhibitor Manual for all exhibitors.

8. Can enterprises from Hong Kong SAR and Macao SAR, China participate in the CIIE?

The Chinese mainland, Hong Kong SAR, and Macao SAR are seeing increasingly close ties in economic and trade communication and cooperation, and are important trading partners to each other. Enterprises from Hong Kong SAR and Macao SAR are welcomed to participate in the CIIE as exhibitors and buyers to share development opportunities on the Chinese mainland and create a better future together.

9. Can enterprises from Taiwan, China participate in the CIIE?

Taiwan has always been an important trading partner of the Chinese mainland, and there are close economic and trade ties between the two sides. Enterprises from Taiwan are welcomed to participate in the CIIE as exhibitors and buyers to share development opportunities on the Chinese mainland and create a better future together.

10. Can enterprises in China apply for participation in the CIIE?

In principle, state-owned enterprises, private enterprises, and foreign-invested enterprises in China will not be invited to participate in the CIIE in light of the principle of fairness and consistency.

11. Can the products produced in China by exhibitors be displayed at the CIIE?

No.

12. Fees for the standard and raw booths.

Price of an indoor exhibition booth:

Standard booth: USD 3,000 or RMB 21,000 per booth (9 m2)

Raw booth: USD 330/m2 or RMB 2,310/m2 (minimum 36 m2)

Price of an outdoor exhibition booth:

Raw booth: USD 220/m2 or RMB 1,540/m2 (minimum 36 m2)

13. Are there any preferential policies?

Exhibitors who sign the Participation Contract before January 31, 2021, and pay 25% of the booth fees or more before February 28, 2021, will enjoy a 10% discount on the booth fees.

14. Are there any other preferential policies?

Pursuant to the Notice of the Preferential Tax Policy for the Imported Exhibits Sold at the China International Import Expo jointly issued by the Ministry of Finance of the PRC, General Administration of Customs, P.R.China, and State Taxation Administration, a reasonable number of imported exhibits sold during the CIIE shall be exempted from import tariff, import value-added tax, and consumption tax. 16. Registration Deadline

The deadline for the application for the fourth CIIE is May 30, 2021.

17. How do I know if the booking is successful and when should the booth fees be paid?

After the registration is approved by the China International Import Expo Bureau, exhibitors will sign the Participation Contract with the Bureau. The signing of the Participation Contract signifies the exhibitors' successful booking of booths. The time of payment for the booth fees will be clearly stipulated in the Participation Contract.

18. Can exhibitors choose booth locations?

To enhance the effects of the exhibition, the Business Exhibition will make arrangements based on the overall planning and the registration of exhibitors in accordance with international exhibition practices.

19. Can the booths be transferred, sublet, or resold?

The CIIE strictly forbids the transfer, sublease, or resale of the booths. If there is any violation, the Organizer has the right to disqualify the exhibitor, refuse relevant third parties to participate in the CIIE, and dispose of relevant booths.

20. Which countries or regions will organize trade missions to participate in the CIIE? How large are the booths of these countries or regions?

21. Which countries and enterprises have confirmed their participation? What are their exhibits?

With the progress of exhibitor recruitment, the official website of the CIIE will open the Online Exhibition Hall timely and publish the list of the exhibitors and exhibits that have been confirmed. As the CIIE approaches, the China International Import Expo Bureau will print and distribute the exhibition journal and the introduction of exhibits.

22. Can we become an exhibition organizer of the CIIE? Are there any concrete requirements, forms, or procedures?

The CIIE host welcomes organizations that are willing to and able to organize exhibitions and observe the participation policies from the countries and regions around the world to assist with the exhibition matters. Please contact the Chinese embassies and consulates in your countries and regions for details.

23. Is there an exhibitor recruitment brochure? How often is it updated? Is it printed and sent by the host or printed by the user?

The CIIE provides the exhibitor recruitment brochure for the Business Exhibition that can be downloaded at the Business Exhibition - Download on the official website of the CIIE. If exhibition organizers need a printed version, the China International Import Expo Bureau will be responsible for delivery.

24. Is there a dedicated e-mail for matters concerning exhibitor recruitment? How long will a reply be given? In what way?

The official e-mail of the fourth CIIE: ciie2021@ciie.org. A timely reply will be given via e-mail or phone upon receipt of the inquiry e-mail.

25. Is it feasible that the company participates in the CIIE in the name of its overseas registered company but signs the contract and applies for the invoice in the name of its branch registered domestically?

The subject of the Participation Contract must be the overseas registered company, but the payer can be another unit authorized by the subject.

26. How is an overseas registered enterprise identified at the CIIE?

After registration for the CIIE, our staff will contact you and review the qualification materials of your overseas registered company.

27. The minimum raw booth at the CIIE is 36 square meters. A small-sized user consulted that if the minimum raw booth can be less than 36 square meters.

Currently, the minimum raw booth at the CIIE is 36 square meters. If a smaller booth is required, it is recommended to rent a standard booth.

28. Will all the supporting activities during the CIIE be held in the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai)? When and how will the venues and contact information of other supporting activities be published?

During the CIIE, there will be sub-industry forums, seminars, trade matchmaking conferences, product launches, and other supporting activities. The schedule will be published in due time. Most of the supporting activities will be held in the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) and its auxiliary facilities.

29. What are the concrete principles and criteria for booth allocation? Do exhibitors reserve a certain right to choose the booth location?

The host will arrange and allocate booths in a unified manner according to the professional segment planning at each exhibition area, enterprises' scale, industry influence, booth size, categories of exhibits, etc.

30. The booth with a certain area has been reserved before January 31, but an extended booth will be required after January 31. Is the early-bird privilege for booth fees applicable to the increased area?

Yes.

31. Is it necessary for exhibitors to inform the host of their activities at their booths? In what way? Any concrete requirements?

It is required to declare the activities in the exhibitor service system of the CIIE in advance. Relevant activities can only be held after approval.

32. When will the schedule of the CIIE be published? How can exhibitors register?

Please follow the official website of the CIIIE for the schedule. Exhibitors can inquire about the list of supporting activities and registration ways in the exhibitor service system.

33. When can be a reply given to the exhibitors' declaration for activities? How about the later procedures?

1) Exhibitors are required to declare their activities at their booths in advance. The application can be submitted to the staff at the corresponding exhibition area and then reviewed and approved by the responsible department; 2) If the application for the conference or other activities at the rented booth has been submitted, please follow the official website of the CIIE for the schedule. In addition, responsible staff will contact you.


1.What are the visitor categories at the first China International Import Expo?

Reply: Visitors at the 1st China International Import Expo are divided into two categories: professional visitors, and social visitors with appointments.

Professional visitors include domestic and overseas buyers, as well as professionals from domestic and overseas government bureaus, public institutions and social organizations. Professional visitors are divided into two categories: trading delegation professionals and independent professionals, depending on whether they are in a trading delegation. Visitors at the 1st China International Import Expo are mainly members from the trading delegations of provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities, cities specifically designated in the state plan and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps (regional delegations), as well as central enterprise delegations.

Social visitors with appointments are the general social public with the intent to visit the 1st China International Import Expo, and they should have passed appointment verification.

2.How do professional visitors register for the Expo?

Reply: Professional visitors can register online for the Expo at the official site (www.ciie.org)- “Buyer” – “Registration”. After registration, you can look up relevant information at “Buyer” – “Visitor Sign Up”.

Trading delegations enjoy priority registration, and online registration for delegations has already opened. Professional visitors without a delegation or sub-delegation member identity at the moment can apply to join one of the delegations or sub-delegations to finish online registration.

Online registration for independent professional visitors without a delegation member identity will open in the future. For more updates, please follow the official site and the official WeChat account of the China International Import Expo.

All professional visitors must register online in advance, as the 1st China International Import Expo does not take on-site registration.

3.What matters should trading delegations pay attention to during registration?

Reply: Professional delegation visitors, including buyers, government officials, experts and scholars, and industrial organization professionals, need invitation codes to finish their registration at the CIIE official site.

The invitation codes are distributed according to the procedures of the China International Import Expo Bureau to the secretariats of trading delegations or sub-delegations, and then offered to professional visitors within the delegations by secretariats.

Invitation codes are exclusive for the specific trading delegations or sub-delegations. Invitation codes for delegations have a logical connection with those of their sub-delegations, and can be used by delegation secretariats for information lookup, the examining and management of professional visitors within the delegation, subsidiary sub-delegations and professional visitors within these sub-delegations. Sub-delegation secretariats can perform information lookup, examination and management of professional visitors within the sub-delegations using the invitation codes.

4.How do professional visitors apply to join a trading delegation?

Reply: Trading delegations of the 1st CIIE are mainly from provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities, cities specifically designated in the state plan and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps (regional delegations), as well as central enterprise delegations.

General professional visitors can apply to regional trading delegation secretariats for a delegation member identity according to the territoriality principle, acquire an invitation code and perform according to the delegation’s orders. Regional delegation secretariats are normally under the management of the provincial commercial departments.

Professional visitors with relationships with central enterprises can apply to central enterprise sub-delegation secretariats to join the trading sub-delegations according to their affiliations, acquire an invitation code and perform according to the sub-delegation’s orders. Central enterprise sub-delegation secretariats are normally under the management of the central enterprise headquarters.

5.Do professional visitors with an invitation need to register online?

Reply:Yes. The invitation code only refers to the association between the professional visitor and the delegation or sub-delegation; so the professional visitor should register online at the CIIE official website, provide relevant enterprise information and the personal information of the purchaser, and wait for the application to be verified before going to the Expo to visit and making purchases.

6.How do general public visitors register to visit the CIIE?

Reply: The 1st China International Import Expo only takes general public visitors’ visitations when they have made appointments and have passed verification. For more appointment details yet to be published, please follow the CIIE official website and the official WeChat account.

The 1st CIIE cannot accept visitations from general public visitors without verified appointments.

1.Temporary entry arrangement of people and exhibits during the Expo

Reply: During the Expo, relevant departments of Chinese government will energetically provide various guarantees and convenient services for clearance of exhibiters and exhibits.

2.How to apply for relevant certificates?

Reply: During the Expo, a certificate center will be set up to render certificate services for exhibiters and purchasers. Please refer to the exhibiters’ manual (offered after obtaining the exhibiters’ qualification) for details.

3.Is there a green channel for entry visa into China during the Expo?

Reply: The sponsor will negotiate with relevant embassies and consulates in China to offer visa services for foreign exhibiters who have passed the qualification check, and for the successful-registered purchasers from various countries to render necessary assistance and support.

4.Can exhibition expenses be settled in RMB?

Reply: During the Expo, all exhibition, service and other relevant expenses can be settled in RMB or other international currencies.

Reply: The General Administration of Customs of the People’s Republic of China (GACC) issued the Measures of the Customs of the People’s Republic of China for Goods Temporarily Imported or Exportedin December of 2017 [No. 233 Decree of GACC] to stipulate the import and export of exhibits.

For specific procedures ofclearing different exhibits, you may consult the official freight forwarders of the expo and entrust them to go through the procedures.

2. What procedures are required for exhibits to be transferred to other expositions after the Expo?

Reply:To transfer the exhibits to other exposition(s) after CIIE, the exhibitor is required to provide the approval(s) of the exposition(s) in question.

Reply:Entry exhibits and other non-tradable goods are exempted from inspection.

Reply:A moderate number of exhibits are allowed to be consumed during the expo(exhibition). Reply:A standard booth comprises of long-beam spotlight * 4, power supplysocket * 1, tall glass cabinet (with lights) * 1, low cabinet * 1, flat shelf * 3, reception desk * 1, negotiating table * 1, folding chair * 4, wastepaper basket * 1 (and 1trough plate for apparel exhibitors).

Reply:Remodeling is not recommended.

3. Can one or more standard booths be shared by multiple enterprises?

Reply:One standard booth can only be used by one enterprise in principle. If more than one enterprise intends to jointly participate in the expo, they need to submit an application to the organizer.

4. What is the height limit of a booth?

Reply:Pursuant to the existing rules of the venue, the height limit is 6 meters for a single-storey booth and 8.5 meters for a double-storey one.

5. Can exhibitors choose their exhibition areas? For example, can an intelligent furniture maker choose to display in the exhibition area of Apparel,

Reply:Exhibitors can choose their exhibition areas as befit their needs, but their exhibits must correspond to the exhibits profile of the chosen area.

6. What are the specific booth allocation principles and standards? Can exhibitors choose the location of their booths?

Reply:The Organizerwill allocate the booths according to the industry-specific plan of each area, the size, industrial clout of the enterprise, booth size and specific category of exhibits. The booths will be coordinated and allocated by the Organizer.

7. When will the final floor plan be available?

Reply:The Organizerwillprovidethe floor plan and release it to the exhibitors in a timely manner after the registration deadline (June 30, 2018). Some exhibition areas will be allocated ahead of schedule based on the actual registration.

8. What does the exhibition budget cover?

Reply:The exhibition budget covers booth rate, booth design and setup costs, facility rentals (including but not limited to utilities, Internet phones and conference rooms), super elevation drawing inspection charges and other service charges (including but not limited to advertising, exhibit forwarding, flowers and green plantsrentals, reception, translation, travel and accommodation).

Reply:The expo will select a group of premium service providers in the industries for the exhibitors to selectto facilitate the participation. The name list and the contacts will be released on the expo’s official website and through other channels. Please stay tuned.

Reply: We recommend that the exhibitors select their contractorsfrom the list of recommended providers in the Exhibitor’s Manual that has been released (standard booths will be built by the official constructors). Those exhibitors who intend to engagea contractorother than that in the list are required to file an application to the competent department of the expo and provide related documents (more specific requirements will be released later).

In addition, the booth set-up shall comply with relevant laws and regulations of the People’s Republic of China and provisions in the Exhibitor’s Manual, including fire safety management, safe production management and utilities safety management. Those exhibitors who choose to select the contractorsother than those in the list shall pay the deposit for the site and related costs to the expo.
