Vonoprazan fumarate，the first approved potassium-competitive acid blocker (P-CAB) in China，competitively inhibits H+, K+ -ATPase by binding ionically to the enzyme and thus preventing its activation by the K+ cation. Vonoprazan fumarate accumulates in parietal cells and restricts stomach acid production while acting quickly.
