Even though the briquettes are smaller in size, when they are soaked, they expand by about ten times. Coir briquettes are 100% biodegradable, non-toxic and make a fertile platform for seedlings to germinate rapidly with their higher water retaining capacity and resistance for bacteria and fungi.
