Automakers like Fiat-Chrysler, Hyundai-Kia and Tesla and auto parts manufacturers including Bosch and Webasto signed contracts to participate in the upcoming China International Import Expo (CIIE) in a recent group signing ceremony.

The contracted auto exhibitors also include VW, BMW, Toyota, Nissan, Daimler, Ford, GM, JLR, DS and Volvo. The Automobiles exhibition area of the CIIE is expected to be an excellent auto show.

China is a major auto manufacturer and consumer. In January 2018, China imported 95,000 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 4.5%, continuing last year’s growth.

Since China will reduce auto import tariffs, domestic consumers are expecting more choices of imported cars and more favorable prices in the future.

Among the auto exhibitors, Fiat-Chrysler will present their all-new iconic Jeep Wrangler catered to young consumers. Chrysler Grand Voyager MPV, Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio, and Maserati will also appear at the expo.

As a leader in new energy vehicle, Tesla said at the signing ceremony that they would bring the new model 3 with a more favorable price to the expo, providing consumers with an integration of a cutting-edge self-driving technology and a complete charging solution. Consumers can also see Powerpacks, GB DC/AC adapter, lithium-ion battery equipment and energy efficiency management software developed by Tesla Gigafactory.

VW Group attaches great importance to the expo. They plan to bring Volkswagen, Audi, Porsche, Bentley and Lamborghini to participate in the exhibition, covering an overall exhibition area of 3,000 square meters.

Furthermore, Webasto Group, one of the global Top 100 auto parts suppliers, South Korea's largest auto company Hyundai Motor Group and Bosch, a global leading technology and service supplier, will present their latest auto-related products at the expo.

With the continuous development of auto industry, more and more researchers and technologies are involved so people can expect more new breakthroughs and improvements in security, power, driving experience, unmanned driving and automatic parking as well as more impressive philosophies of high efficiency, energy conservation and green environment in the future.
