Nachi-Fujikoshi hopes to be part of China’s manufacturing upgrade Release date:2018-10-16

Nachi-Fujikoshi, a leading machinery manufacturer in robotics, signed the contract with the China International Import Expo (CIIE) in April, making it the first formal exhibitor of the expo.

On August 8, more than 400 days before the opening of next year’s expo, Nachi-Fujikoshi again became an early bird as it submitted an application for participating in the 2nd CIIE during the expo’s matchmaking for exhibitors & buyers of the high-end intelligent equipment.

Liu Xiaobing, deputy general manager of Nachi (Shanghai) Co Ltd, said the parent company Nachi-Fujikoshi plans to bring new models of products and robots to the expo. “The entire exhibition plan has been designed by our Japan headquarters.”

Liu said that Nachi-Fujikoshi will display at the expo application scenarios featuring the unique use of robots”. At the matchmaking on August 8, Nachi-Fujikoshi’s robot arms featured a high level of synchronization and precision by showing two machine arms pointing two tiny pencil leads together.

Liu hopes that Nachi-Fujikoshi can form strategic partnerships with some well-known companies in the forefront of China’s manufacturing industry through the expo. “We would be honored if we could help China upgrade its industry and participate in the transformation of China’s manufacturing,” he said.

Since entering the Chinese market 14 years ago, Nachi-Fujikoshi has been focused in the industrial sector, providing products in fields such as raw materials, and whole supply chains. “Nachi-Fujikoshi would like to contribute to the manufacturing industry. We hope more Chinese companies and customers can learn about Nachi-Fujikoshi through the CIIE,” said Liu.

Nachi-Fujikoshi hopes to expand its market scale in the future, and keep some R&D institutions in China to take root in the Chinese market, according to Liu. At present, Nachi-Fujikoshi has cooperated with some Chinese universities and vocational schools to combine production with research. “There will be a shortage of talents in robotics during industrial transformation. Nachi-Fujikoshi hopes that our robots can be fully utilized, so we must start cultivate talents in this field right from schools and colleges.” Liu said.

Speaking of the development of the robot industry in China, Liu Xiaobing thinks that Chinese enterprises have a strong demand in robots as the industry enters the era of rapid development. “Five years ago, the robot industry already entered a period of rapid development. At present, it has reached the second stage of consolidation. People did not know much about robots before, but as they become more familiar with robots, more efficient ways to use them will emerge in the future”, said Liu.
