大家好，我是全球老龄化联盟（GCOA）执行总监梅丽莎，非常期待参加虹桥国际经济论坛。今年的银发经济分论坛由（中国）国家发展改革委、商务部和联合国人口基金（UNFPA）联合主办，将汇聚全球领袖，共同探讨人口老龄化议题并制定合作战略。

全球老龄化联盟致力于推动公共政策变革、职场转型和观念转变，让社会认识到：如果主动投资，日益庞大的老龄人口将成为宝贵的资产。老龄化虽伴随挑战（如心血管疾病、骨质疏松等慢性病负担加重），但这不仅是健康问题，更是系统性议题，涉及金融、交通、住房、科技等多个领域。在规模达22万亿美元的银发经济中，创新、经济增长和新市场策略的潜力巨大。

我期待与全球及中国领袖在上海虹桥论坛共商大计，用开放协作的方式，为健康、活力、幸福的老年生活制定策略。

Hello, I am Melissa Gong Mitchell, Executive Director of the Global Coalition on Aging (GCOA), and I am looking forward to joining you at the Hongqiao International Economic Forum (HQF). In particular, this year's parallel session on the Silver Economy, hosted by the NDRC, Ministry of Commerce, and UNFPA will be an important and collaborative gathering of leaders to recognize and strategize around population aging.

As GCOA, we advance public policies, workplace changes, and mindset shifts to recognize that a growing aging population can be an incredible asset, if we choose to invest in it. While this phenomenon of aging comes with challenges, including growing burdens of NCDs from cardiovascular disease to osteoporosis, this isn't just a health story. It's a systems story, one that speaks to sectors including finance, transport, housing, and technology. The potential for innovation, economic growth, and new market strategies in this 22 trillion dollar silver economy is immense.

I look forward to coming together with Chinese and global leaders at the 8^th Hongqiao Forum in Shanghai to discuss policies and practices that can openly and cooperatively build strategies for healthy, productive, and fulfilling longer lives.
