大家好，我是中国澳大利亚商会会长冯栢文，很荣幸受邀出席第八届虹桥国际经济论坛，并在中国澳大利亚自贸协定实施十周年分论坛上发言。

今年（虹桥）论坛以“开放引领发展，合作共创未来”（“开放共创新机遇，合作共享新未来”）为主题，这与当前中澳经贸关系的发展方向高度契合。在全球经济形势复杂多变、贸易不确定性上升的背景下，虹桥论坛作为重要交流平台，持续为世界开放合作、互利共赢注入信心与动力。中澳两国在过去 10 年通过自贸协定奠定了坚实的互补基础，未来应该进一步向联合能力迈进，在清洁能源、农业与食品、先进制造业以及数字贸易等领域共同创新、共同投资、共同发展。

目前，我正在坎培拉，参加 ACBC Canberra Networking Day（澳中国工商业委员会堪培拉联谊日） 活动，探讨中澳经贸合作的新机遇，并将于今晚（10月29日）出席由中国驻澳大利亚使馆举办的欢迎酒会。我衷心祝愿第八届虹桥国际经济论坛取得圆满成功，也期待下周在上海与各位朋友相见。

Hello everyone, I’m Vaughn Barber, Chair of the China-Australia Chamber of Commerce. It is a great honour to be invited to attend the 8^th Hongqiao International Economic Forum (HQF) and to speak at the parallel session marking the tenth anniversary of the China–Australia Free Trade Agreement (ChAFTA).

This year’s Forum (HQF), themed “Opening Up for New Opportunities, Collaborating for a Shared Future,” closely aligns with the current direction of Australia–China economic and trade relations. Amid a complex and evolving global economic landscape and rising trade uncertainties, the HQF continues to serve as an important platform for dialogue, injecting confidence and momentum into global openness, cooperation, and mutual benefit. Over the past decade, ChAFTA has established a strong and complementary foundation between our two countries. Looking ahead, we should move towards building joint capabilities—working together in clean energy, agriculture and food, advanced manufacturing, and digital trade to achieve shared innovation, investment, and growth.

At present, I’m in Canberra, attending the ACBC Canberra Networking Day, exploring new opportunities for Australia–China economic and trade cooperation. This evening (October 29), I’ll join a welcome reception hosted by the Chinese Embassy in Australia. I sincerely wish the 8th Hongqiao International Economic Forum every success, and I look forward to meeting friends and colleagues in Shanghai next week.
