At the event, Cui Aimin, the Chinese ambassador to Sweden, emphasized that the CIIE showcases China's commitment to open markets globally and reflects China's dedication to building an open world economy and endorsing economic globalization.
He said that he hopes more Swedish enterprises will utilize the CIIE platform to further expand their presence in the Chinese market, deepen mutual cooperation in areas such as innovation, green initiatives, and digital technologies, and achieve more impressive performance in the Chinese market.
Per Augustsson, Sweden's ambassador to China, highlighted the CIIE as a crucial platform for Swedish companies looking to expand into China. With China being Sweden's largest trading partner in Asia, Swedish businesses continue to pursue the Chinese market with intense vigor, Augustsson said.

Elisabet Soderstrom, secretary general of the Sweden-China Trade Council, also emphasized the CIIE's significance as a vital platform for Swedish companies hoping to thrive in China, adding that Swedish enterprises have consistently participated in every edition of the expo, reaping substantial rewards.
Soderstrom reaffirmed the council's commitment to actively mobilizing member companies to participate in this year's expo.
According to Wu Zhengping, deputy director-general of the CIIE Bureau, over 900 companies have already signed up for the seventh CIIE, with the booked exhibition space for the business exhibition exceeding 310,000 square meters, showing faster progress compared to previous years.
