A CIIE work group led by Ning Feng, president of the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai), visited enterprises and organizations in Uruguay on local time July 10 to promote the sixth China International Import Expo and attract more exhibitors from the country. 

The group met with representatives from local associations and enterprises, including the National Meat Institute (INAC), which is responsible for promoting Uruguayan meat in the world, and AF Group, a company that provides forestry and agricultural services. During meetings, the group gave an overview of the CIIE and explanation of relevant supportive measures. 

The group hoped that local producers of high-quality agricultural products, textiles, jewelry, and artworks, as well as institutions and companies engaged in advantageous industries such as forestry and cultural tourism in Uruguay can enter the Chinese market through the CIIE. 

INAC signed a memorandum of cooperation for the sixth CIIE with the work group.
