From March 9 to 10, Ge Hong, deputy director-general of the China International Import Expo (CIIE) Bureau, led a working group to hold promotion events for the ninth CIIE in Auckland, New Zealand.
Ge Hong said that as the world's first national-level exhibition themed on import, the CIIE has successfully held eight sessions since 2018, providing broad opportunities for global enterprises and their products and services to enter the Chinese market. He invited New Zealand institutions and enterprises to actively participate in the CIIE, and leverage the CIIE platform to continuously enhance the visibility and appeal of their high-quality products and services in China. "We will bring together a wide range of professional visitors, create precise matchmaking scenarios, and provide convenient service," he added.
Representatives from relevant New Zealand institutions and enterprises highly recognized the CIIE as an important platform for global enterprises to access China's vast market, saying that they will further strengthen promotion efforts, actively guide and drive more willing institutions and enterprises to participate in the CIIE, consolidate cooperation outcomes and expand the scope of cooperation.
During the stay in New Zealand, the working group visited the Chinese Consulate General in Auckland for guidance and held working meetings with institutions including the Auckland Business Chamber, New Zealand Trade and Enterprise, and China Chamber of Commerce in New Zealand to conduct in-depth discussions on overseas exhibition and investment promotion cooperation. The working group also conducted on-site visits and exchanges with key enterprises such as Theland, actively promoting their continued participation in the CIIE.
