1. Who are the individual visitors?

A: Individual visitors mainly refer to individuals who have not joined a trade delegation or registered through an organization but have a strong desire to attend the CIIE. The age range is 14 years old and above.

2. What are the visit dates for individual visitors?

A: November 8, 9, or 10, 2025. Only one day can be selected from these options. Please refer to the visit date chosen during registration, as entry will not be permitted on dates outside the selected range. 

3. How can an individual visitor sign up?

A: For mobile devices, please use the official WeChat Mini Program of the CIIE, select "Main" — "Individual Visitor Registration" — "Individual Visitor", fill in your personal information, and complete the payment. After passing the review and receiving your admission certificate, you will be admitted to the eighth CIIE. Once registered, you can check the status of your certificate via the official WeChat Mini Program.

For desktop devices, please visit the official website of the CIIE (www.ciie.org), click the "Business Exhibition" — "Become a Visitor" — "Registration" — "Individual Visitor" columns in sequence to register online, fill in your personal information, and complete the payment. After passing the review and receiving your admission certificate, you will be admitted to the eighth CIIE. After registration, you can check the status of your certificate by logging into columns "Become a Visitor" — "Sign in" — "Individual Visitor" on the official website of the CIIE (www.ciie.org).

All visitors shall register online in advance, as on-site regular registration for the eighth CIIE will not be allowed.

4. Can individual visitors naturally become eligible for admission by registration?

A: After individual visitors' successful registration and payment, the review for personnel information will commence, after which certificate-making and issuing will occur if the personnel information passes the review. After obtaining the certificates, individual visitors can visit the exhibition hall in accordance with relevant stipulations.

5. Can the personnel information for admission be changed or modified after registration?

A: When registering, individual visitors need to fill the personal information and complete the payment before entering the review process. The personnel information can be modified before submission and before the registration deadline. Personnel information cannot be modified if submitted.

6. How can individual visitors who have passed information reviews get admission certificates?

A: All admission certificates for individuals will be issued via express delivery. Please fill in an accurate delivery address that is valid within 6 months (addresses on the Chinese Mainland only). There is no need to pay extra express delivery fees. After the certificates are sent, individual visitors can view express information through the official website or WeChat Mini Program of the CIIE.

7. Is there a limit on the number of individual visitors who can sign up for the exhibition?

A: Individual visitors' exhibition visits are concentrated on November 8, 9, or 10, 2025. The number of spots is limited, and registration is on a first-come, first-served basis until all spots are filled.

8. Do individual visitors need to pay for the certificates? What are the payment methods?

A: Individual visitors need to pay a certificate service fee to attend the exhibition. The fee is RMB 50 per person per day for November 8, 9, or 10.

There are two payment methods for the individual visitors' certificate service fee: QR code payment and international card payment.

(1) QR code payment, including UnionPay, WeChat, and Alipay.

(2) International card payment, supporting transactions from the five major international credit card networks, including Mastercard, Visa, JCB, Diners Club, and China UnionPay, as well as mainstream electronic wallets, including but not limited to Apple Pay and Google Pay (available on desktop only).

9. If an individual visitor has paid for a certificate but cannot participate in the expo, can the certificate be refunded? Or, can someone else be admitted?

A: After payment, personnel information review procedures will commence. If personnel reviews fail, Individual visitors will be notified via SMS or email with instructions to log into columns "Main" — "Individual Visitor Registration" — "Individual Visitor" on the official WeChat Mini Program of the CIIE, or "Business Exhibition" — "Become a Visitor" — "Sign In" — "Individual Visitor" — "My Order" through the official website of the CIIE (www.ciie.org) and follow the instructions to process the refund. If the exchange profit or loss occurs due to exchange rate fluctuations during the refund, the individual visitor shall bear and handle the refund together. The certificate-making process will automatically commence upon review and approval, after which no refunds or replacements can be processed.

10. How can an individual visitor get an invoice after paying for a certificate?

A: After payment, individual visitors can log into columns "Main" — "Individual Visitor Registration" — "Individual Visitor" on the official WeChat Mini Program of the CIIE, or "Business Exhibition" — "Become a Visitor" — "Sign In" — "Individual Visitor" — "My Order" through the official website of the CIIE (www.ciie.org) and follow the instructions to apply for an invoice. Individual visitors can apply for a VAT ordinary invoice (digitalized electronic ordinary invoice). After the invoice is issued, if a visitor whose review has failed needs a refund, the invoice must first be cancelled before the refund can be processed.

11. Can foreign nationals applying as individual visitors request an invitation letter?

A: Foreign nationals applying as individual visitors for the eighth CIIE are not eligible to request an invitation letter. Those who require an invitation letter must apply through the registration channel for  "Professional Visitor" — "Institutional visitors".

12. When is the registration deadline for individual visitors?

A: The registration and payment deadline for individual visitors will be 24:00 on October 20, 2025 (Beijing Time). Please register and pay at CIIE official website in time.

13. Where will the eighth CIIE be held?

A: The eighth CIIE will be held in the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) from November 5 to 10, 2025. Individual visitors can attend the exhibition on November 8, 9, or 10, 2025.
