On September 13, the registration and sign-up of guests for parallel sessions of the 5th Hongqiao International Economic Forum (Hongqiao Forum) officially launched. Guests must complete the registration through online registration and obtain identification for forum admission to ensure smooth attendance at the parallel sessions.


I. Introduction to the 5th Hongqiao Forum

The 5th Hongqiao Forum will be held at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) concurrently with the China International Import Expo (hereinafter referred to as the CIIE). The 5th Hongqiao Forum will be held under the theme of “Stimulation of Global Opening-up Impetus and Sharing of Cooperation Opportunities”, with a focus on the hot topics in the field of global openness and cooperation. In addition to the Opening Ceremony of the CIIE and Hongqiao Forum (main forum of the Hongqiao Forum), there will be the High-level Session “RCEP Spurs Higher -level Opening-up”, International Seminar on Release of the World Openness Report 2022, and parallel sessions under three sections: “Opening-up: Responsibilities and Actions”, “Opening-up: Governance Mechanisms” and “Opening-up: Sharing Achievements”. Based on the changes unseen in a century, it will highlight the importance of “openness and cooperation” as a way to answer the questions of the times, conform to the trend of the world, and promote global economic recovery and the common development of mankind. Meanwhile, it will lead all parties to conduct in-depth discussions for a broad consensus, provide a platform for high-end dialogue among guests from global political, business, and academic communities, and contribute the “Hongqiao wisdom” to global economic growth and the building of a Community with a Shared Future for Mankind.

II. Guests

Professional audience are invited to attend each parallel session, including guests from enterprises, academic research institutions, think tanks, social organizations, government agencies, and other related parties in relevant sectors. All registered participants are required to attend the parallel session on site.


III. Registration Process

1. Enter the registration system of the Hongqiao Forum-forum.ciie.org;

2. Click on “New User Registration” or use the previous account to log in

3. Fill in the registration information and complete the payment. The deadline for filling in the information is October 15, and the deadline for payment and uploading the transfer voucher is October 21.

4. Receive the identification for forum admission enter the or refund process based on the status of the review.


IV. Payment Standards and Payment Methods

The fee for registered guests of the parallel session is RMB 15,000/person or USD 2,250/person (transfer fees not included). after obtaining the identification documents in accordance with the procedures, guests can attend relevant parallel sessions and visit the Enterprise & Business Exhibition of the CIIE.

Participants should transfer fees through the registration system or on site to the account designated by the Hongqiao Forum Secretariat and upload the transfer voucher to complete the payment. Please refer to the registration system for the specific payment process and payment information. Delegates are responsible for their expenses during the parallel sessions.


V. COVID-19 Prevention Requirements

In terms of the COVID-19 prevention work of the 5th CIIE and Hongqiao Forum, we will strictly implement relevant regulations of the state and Shanghai municipality. All domestic and overseas participants must comply with relevant COVID-19 prevention requirements, which will be announced in a timely manner after the specific implementation rules are finalized.
