The Nobel Laureate in Economics, Angus Deaton, has confirmed participation in the 6th Hongqiao International Economic Forum. He will attend the parallel session themed "Understanding New Consumption Trends and Tapping New Consumption Potential" and participate in the roundtable discussion.
Angus Deaton, an economist and professor of economics at Princeton University, is known for his works including Economics and Consumer Behavior and Understanding Consumption. In 2015, he was awarded the Nobel Prize in Economics for his analysis of consumption, poverty, and welfare.

The Hongqiao International Economic Forum (Hongqiao Forum) is an important part of the China International Import Expo (CIIE).
