Member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Pu Muming has confirmed participation in the 6th Hongqiao International Economic Forum (HQF). He will attend the parallel session themed "Intelligent Technology and Future Industry Development" and deliver a keynote speech.
Pu Muming, neurobiologist and biophysicist, member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and foreign member of the American Academy of Sciences, one of the main planners of the Innovation 2030 major project "Brain Science and Brain-Like Research" and the "Whole Brain Mesoscopic Neural Junction Map" international big science program. He has received honorary doctorates from Ecole Normale Superieure, Lyon University and Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. He was a recipient of many awards, including Ameritec Award of the United States, International Scientific and Technological Cooperation Award of the People's Republic of China, Outstanding Scientist Award of Qiushi Science and Technology Foundation, Outstanding Science and Technology Achievement Collective Prize of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Gruber Neuroscience Prize. Pu Muming has made groundbreaking contributions to the molecular and cellular mechanisms of neuroplasticity, and his findings have been widely applied in neuroscience and machine learning. He has played a crucial role in advancing non-human primate research in China, ushering in a new era of experimental animal models using somatic cell cloning of macaques.
