The Nobel Laureate in Economics, Christopher Pissarides, has confirmed participation in the 6th Hongqiao International Economic Forum (HQF). He will attend the "Press Release and International Symposium on World Openness Report 2023" and deliver a keynote speech.

Dr. Christopher Pissarides is a Regius Professor of Economics at the London School of Economics. His main research area is Labour economics. Dr. Pissarides is mostly known for his contributions to the search and matching theory for studying the interactions between the labour market and the macro economy. He helped develop the concept of the matching function, and pioneered the empirical work on its estimation. In 2010, he was awarded the Nobel Prize in Economics for his market search theory and contributions to the macro economy.

The Hongqiao International Economic Forum (HQF) is an important part of the China International Import Expo (CIIE).
