The Nobel Laureate in Physiology or Medicine, Barry Marshall, has confirmed participation in the 6th Hongqiao International Economic Forum (HQF). He will attend the parallel session themed "Global Drug Safety Governance and Chinese Drug Regulatory Practice" and deliver a keynote speech.

Dr. Barry Marshall is an Australian medical expert and a foreign academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering. In 2005, he was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for his discovery of H. pylori and his proof that it is the cause of most stomach ulcers and gastritis. Dr. Marshall's discovery is also a milestone in the field of gastroenterology research.
