Member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Zheng Weimin has confirmed participation in the 6th Hongqiao International Economic Forum (HQF). He will attend the parallel session themed "Intelligent Technology and Future Industry Development".

Zheng Weimin, professor of the Department of Computer Science and Technology, Tsinghua University, and member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering. He has long been engaged in research on architecture of high-performance computer system, parallel algorithm, and system research. In particular, he proposed a scalable storage system architecture and a lightweight parallel scalability mechanism, and developed theories and methods for storage system scalability. He took the lead in China in developing and successfully applying high-performance computers cluster architecture. The super large-scale weather forecasting application, which was developed by his team on the basis of Sunway TaihuLight Supercomputer, won the ACM Gordon Bell Prize. He is a recipient of many prizes, including 1 First Class Prize of National Award for Science and Technology Progress, 2 Second Class Prizes of National Award for Science and Technology Progress, 1 Second Class Prize of National Award for Technological Invention, Ho Leung Ho Lee Foundation Science and Technology Award, and the first China Storage Lifetime Achievement Award.

The Hongqiao International Economic Forum (HQF) is an important part of the China International Import Expo (CIIE). Under the theme of "Joining Hands in Development, Opening Up for the Future", the 6th HQF will feature the main forum (opening ceremony of the 6th CIIE and the HQF), the "Invest in China Year" Summit, the Press Conference and International Symposium on World Openness Report 2023 (including the release of the World Openness Index), as well as 22 parallel sessions divided into four sections: "Opening-up for Development", "Opening-up for Cooperation", "Opening-up for Innovation" and "Opening-up for Sharing".
