President of University of International Business and Economics, Zhao Zhongxiu, has confirmed participation in the 6th Hongqiao International Economic Forum (HQF). He will attend the parallel session themed "The Global Trading System at a Crossroads: More Integration or More Fragmentation?" and participate in the roundtable discussion.

Zhao Zhongxiu is Professor of Economics, Professor and President of University of International Business and Economics, China (UIBE) and expert with allowance from the State Council. He has been engaged in international trade, industrial economics and global value chain research for a long time, and is a well-known international trade expert in China. Professor Zhao currently holds academic posts such as Chairman of Higher Education Economics and International Trade Teaching Steering Committee of Ministry of Education, Vice Chairman of the China Society of World Economics, Vice President of China Council for BRICS Think Tank Cooperation. He has also presided over major projects of the National Social Science Foundation and won two second prizes for national teaching achievements in 2018.

The Hongqiao International Economic Forum (HQF) is an important part of the China International Import Expo (CIIE). Under the theme of "Joining Hands in Development, Opening Up for the Future", the 6th HQF will feature the main forum (opening ceremony of the 6th CIIE and the HQF), the "Invest in China Year" Summit, the Press Conference and International Symposium on World Openness Report 2023 (including the release of the World Openness Index), as well as 22 parallel sessions divided into four sections: "Opening-up for Development", "Opening-up for Cooperation", "Opening-up for Innovation" and "Opening-up for Sharing".
