The session on "Gathering Global Quality Consumption Resources and Promoting Consumption Upgrading" of the 7th Hongqiao International Economic Forum will take place on the afternoon of November 5, at the L'Oréal booth in Hall 6.1H of the National Exhibition and Convention Center(Shanghai). Hosted by the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China, and co-organized by the China International Import Expo Bureau and Xinhuanet, with L'Oréal as the special supporting partner, this session aims to explore how to upgrade the consumer market by sharing cutting-edge insights and best practices from sectors.
Thoughts Embrace Practice When Scholars Meet Entrepreneurs
Against the backdrop of global economic integration and digital transformation, the consumer market is undergoing profound changes. The aggregation and flow of high-quality consumption resources have become key drivers of economic development for nations focused by all industries. Themed as "Gathering Global Quality Consumption Resources and Promoting Consumption Upgrading", this session will invite senior officials from the Ministry of Commerce or municipal governors, executive officials from globally renowned enterprises as well as industry experts, who are expected to spark new thoughts during the discussions on the integration and innovation on global consumption resources and the upgrading of consumers' experiences in the digital age.
Many Fortune 500 and other leading enterprises such as L’Oréal, Toyota, LEGO, IKEA, Sanofi, 360, Xiaohongshu, SAVENCIA, APP,Huazhu Group, Wangfujing Group, Luolai Home Textile, Hema, and OSIM will participate this session, covering a wide range of sectors from "clothing, food, housing, and transportation" to pharmaceuticals and internet. The total market value of these enterprises exceeds one trillion yuan. Guest speakers will exchange views focusing on key topics including "New Drivers of Consumption and High-Quality Development", "The Debut Economy", "Experience Economy" and "Artificial Intelligence in Shaping New Consumption Trends". The session will release the list of enterprises selected into the "2024 New Consumption Innovation Case Studies". These cases will showcase successful practices across various sectors, highlighting new consumption scenarios, business models, and formats. By setting industry benchmarks and providing exemplary cases, the initiative aims to create a platform for exchange and collaboration within the business community. Hongqiao International Economic Forum (hereinafter referred to as HQF) is held in tandem with the China International Import Expo (CIIE). Under the theme of "High-Standard Opening up for Universally Beneficial and Inclusive Economic Globalization", the 7th HQF features the main forum (the opening ceremony of the CIIE and HQF), and 19 parallel sessions under "1+4" sections, i.e. the Press Release and International Symposium on World Openness Report 2024 and parallel sessions under Opening-up for Development, Opening-up for Cooperation, Opening-up for Innovation and Opening-up for Sharing. The 7th China International Import Expo & Hongqiao International Economic Forum Gala (CIIE&HQF GALA) will continue to be held before the opening ceremony, further enhancing the quality of services provided.
Facilitate networking and meetings. The Hongqiao Forum Secretariat will promptly release guest information to support mutual networking.
Enhance media interaction. Mainstream media will be invited to the event for scheduled interviews and spontaneous on-site interviews with high-profile guests, to enhance visibility. Photography services will also be provided.
Launch the function of message reservation. The information system of the Hongqiao Forum is optimized and upgraded.
