Pudong was born out of reform and opening-up and has flourished because of it. Pudong received new major tasks following the important speech delivered by General Secretary Xi Jinping at the “Celebration of the 30th Anniversary of the Development and Opening-up of Pudong” held on November 12, 2020 and the “Guideline to Support the High-level Reform and Opening-up of Pudong and Build Pudong into a Pioneer Area for Socialist Modernization” released by the CPC Central Committee and the State Council on July 15, 2021. This sub-forum is dedicated to the new pivot, new positioning and new path of Pudong's development, with emphasis on further aligning with the new rules of international trade and economy, promoting high-level institutional opening-up, enhancing the ability to allocate global resources and exploring a new development pattern, so as to contribute wisdom to the development of an open world economy.
