Fourteen medical exhibitors of the sixth China International Import Expo visited Guiyang, Southwest China's Guizhou province, on Aug 3 to communicate with local authorities and companies in pursuit of cooperation and development opportunities.

Participating exhibitors, which are also members of the medical equipment special committee of the CIIE Enterprise Alliance, included Becton, Dickinson and Company, Cordis, and Alcon. During the event, they talked with representatives from 15 medical institutions in Guizhou and visited places including a healthcare business incubation park and the Guiqian International General Hospital.

Zhang Weimin, assistant president of the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai), the venue for the annual CIIE, said that as Guizhou is advancing the integration of healthcare, ecology, tourism, and big data industries by leveraging its unique resources, he hoped CIIE exhibitors can gain more market and investment opportunities in the province.

According to Zhang, the medical equipment and healthcare products exhibition area of this year's expo will gather the top 10 global medical device enterprises, and showcase cutting-edge innovations, technologies, and services from around the world.
